Hands-on Participation
Design for Six Sigma Class Participants will spend approximately 25% of
their class time working with DFSS tools and concepts in small teams,
typically 2-person teams.
Participants work with a number of scenarios and datasets derived from
actual software designs in real products.
Hands-on involvement with the toolset insures that attendees leave the
class with a working knowledge of how to proceed with DFSS in their
development projects.
Exercises and Examples
Relevant examples and exercises for the Software DFSS Course bring the
concepts home for software engineers.
Rather than adapt mechanical and electrical applications to present the
DFSS concepts, the Software DFSS Team has created an entirely new set of
exercises and examples. These examples and exercises allow participants
to see the power of the DFSS concepts when applied to real-world
software.
Software Engineers will see DFSS concepts in action, meeting the needs
of cutting-edge software development teams.
Attendees receive a copy of the course presentation and detailed notes,
with a CD containing example data and analysis files
Customized by Software Engineers
Developers and instructors for the course are software engineers first,
and statisticians second.
The Software DFSS Development Team has decades of combined software
development experience, and multiple graduate and undergraduate degrees
in computer science and computer engineering.
Most team members received Master Black Belt or Black Belt
certification from General Electric’s prestigious Six Sigma program, and
have been active in applying DFSS concepts in industrial
applications since the mid-1990’s.
